a mighty fine wind

a beautiful stash of freshly wound yarn! thanks to the wonderful sophie for the loan of the winder. i must admit, i went a little loca winding up stuff that didn't even need winding, but sheesh, don't it look so cool!!!?

an extra special thanks to the hubs for putting up with all of my requests and for his constant patience and support. i made a mess of two skeins and he was there with kind words and nimble fingers. he even took one and wound it by hand only to have me use the winder when he was done. at one point i heard him mutter, "i hate yarn". but i know he didn't mean it. later i asked "who needs a swift when i gots a sweetie like you?" and he quickly replied "you do!"
now ain't that a mighty fine man i got myself!?

here's the hubs counting his millions! emptying piggy banks like it's goin' outta style. Teddy was quite offended by all of the probing, Lucky Cat loved it and the Bear couple didn't even notice! hope there are a few pennies left over for that winder...oh ya...and a swift....

My World View

...according to this quiz, i'm an idealist:

Idealism centers around the belief that we are moving towards something greater.
An odd mix of evolutionist and spiritualist, you see the divine within ourselves,
waiting to emerge over time. Many religious traditions express how the divine spirit lost its identity, thus creating our world of turmoil, but in time it will find itself
and all things will again become one.

What's your world view??

I also find it hard to post if i don't have a great pic or some super exciting news. i wouldn't want to bore you all with my yammerin'!....ya, ya, I know, I know -- excuses, excuses. anywayzzzz.... here's a wacky shot of my nephew, Dustin's, last parade before the summer break. Sista Sista

May 31st -- Dedicated to my very special friend, Sista Sista.

I've known her since she was born and I've loved her ever since! I have watched her grow into an amazing young woman. She's a hard working mama with two beautiful kids, who always has time for friends and family. We speak the same *secrit* language. She laughs at my ridiculous jokes and listen to my crazy ideas. She cracks me up and makes me think. The world would not be the same without her. She's beautiful and kind and caring. She's my little baby sista! Happy Birthday, Sista Sista!!!
