Clap on a Rock

the "clap" soaks up some sun....

I've been quite curious about the Clapotis... ever since I saw Jen sporting her beautiful variegated-parallelogram-drop-stitch-wonder a few months back. I kept reading the pattern and thinking to myself, "whaa??" And then Jacquie gave me this awesome excel chart thingy and I thought to myself, "huuu... whaaa?" But now that I'm "in" it, I'm lovin' it. To be honest, I've become incredibly obsessed with it, in an "It's all i want to do, all of the time" sort of way!!! Jacquie's gorgeous rainbow sherbet extravaganza is a true inspiration. Sophie's is coming along splendidly. Clap on girls!! (and thanks for that chart, Jacquie!)

I made these pink warmers for my mom for her b-day
and she surprised me with the fuchsia cables.
no pattern required -- she truly is amazing!
she did get quite a kick out of the thumbs.
(i cannot repeat her comment) mom!

I've been hankerin' to get a new tattoo but the tight budget
and lack of commitment are holding me back.
so instead Hubs the Artist has been "sharpie-ing" various pieces on my skin.
I am a canvas.

Super Secret Pal Package

wishing a very feliz cumpleaño to my beautiful ma. te deseo todo lo mejor. wishing her the very best. te quiero mucho. how i love her so. thanks to mami, i am here. not only here and good and happy, but here -- knitting and slackely blogging about it. She has an incredible knack of taking a pattern and making it her own. She has an awesome talent of creating her own knit-art and coming up with gorgeous pieces. She has the warmest way of making us laugh and feel loved and cared for. and a delectable flair for stuffing us full of guiso and other scrumptious snacks.
